Virtual running race to support anti-epidemic attracts more than 3,100 runners

The 16th campaign of V-Race called “Vietnamese bravery” takes place in the context that the whole country is in a difficult and challenging fight against Covid-19. Spread the anti-epidemic spirit, and at the same time encourage the community to practice sports and protect health.

After nearly 2 weeks of starting, the tournament has attracted more than 3,100 runners with a total distance of more than 100,000 km. In particular, the distance requires great determination of the runners with the accumulation of 100 km within 21 days, which recorded an outstanding number of registrations with more than 900 turns, accounting for 30% of the total number of participants.

Many people who are new to jogging but want to experience virtual running, show their determination in the fight against the epidemic with the community, have chosen to accumulate 10 km and 21 km. More than 700 runners registered to participate in these two distances.

Runners can continue to enroll here and start running right from 0:00 the next day. Each person has 21 days to accomplish their goal. Last date for registration is 3/6.

As of May 26, Vietnam has recorded more than 2,900 new infections with two outbreaks with complicated developments, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh. People across the country not only unite and comply with epidemic prevention regulations, but also carry out many practical actions to cheer and support the frontline team.

In that context, the virtual prize “Vietnamese bravery” was deployed to convey the message “Health is patriotism”. The campaign calls for a strong anti-epidemic spirit from everyone, every home, and at the same time gives runners the opportunity to maintain exercise habits, improve health, and spread the spirit of sports to everyone around.

With the continuous monitoring and updating of the leaderboard, the tournament helps runners feel the competitive spirit with thousands of runners, thereby giving them more motivation to stride and maintain training.

The 16th campaign of V-Race starts to open the registration portal from 12 noon on May 13 to 12 noon on June 3, runners are free to join. Athletes can choose to run unlimited cumulative runs in 5 distances: 10 km, 21 km, 42 km, 100 km and 150 km, depending on the fitness, training conditions and level of challenge with the version. Dear. They have 21 days to complete the registration distance.

VnExpress’s V-Race platform integrated with the Strava application will record the results. At the end of the tournament, the organizers will summarize and honor the achievements of the runners and award online certificates and online medals (divided by registered distance) to those who complete the challenge.
