JapanLuong Thi Thao and Dinh Thi Hao won the slot for the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo on May 7, the light women’s double paddle boat content.

Luong Thi Thao and Dinh Thi Hao became the seventh and eighth athletes of Vietnam to attend the Tokyo Olympics, after Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), Le Thanh Tung, Dinh Phuong Thanh (TDDC), Nguyen Hoang Phi Vu, Do Thi Anh Nguyet (archery) and Nguyen Van Duong (boxing). They will compete in nine events, from five sports.
At the 2016 Olympics, Vietnam had 23 athletes competing in 10 competitions. The delegation won one gold and one silver medal, all thanks to ADC Hoang Xuan Vinh.
The Tokyo Olympics took place from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021, with 33 exams and 339 medals.
