All three eagles came from off the green, including two chips and a sand bounce.

Hatton started on hole 1, with a bad entry – double bogey on 2, par5 taking five shots to the green and two putting putts on the hole.

On the fourth hole, also par5, Hatton, after two swings, did not enter the hole, nearly 13 meters from the target, but suddenly finished work on the third swing – the chip. This deal brought in the first eagle on the scoreboard.

After that, Hatton kept par 10 consecutive holes and then brilliantly scored an eagle double at holes 15 and 16. On the 15th hole, he played 317 yards and the ball fell into the tall grass next to the wasteland. Nearly 19 meters away and from a difficult position, but Hatton still hit the target.

After the third eagle, Hatton kept par for the remaining two holes, closing the round of 67.

This stage, he reached 324 yards at two points, which was recorded by the Organizing Committee with the average distance of the first hole. The whole match, Hatton hit 11 fairways, went to the green according to the standard 9 holes because the PGA Tour did not count three eagle holes.

Thanks to those three times “on the field”, Hatton jumped 12 steps to T5 with a score of -7 after 54 holes. But it was a temporary position because the heavy rain near the end of the penultimate day left four golfers unfinished, including world number one Dustin Johnson, Harris English, Chesson Hadley and Tain Lee. They still have one stage left – hole 18. When they stopped, Hadley was at the top of the table with -14, four strokes from English, six strokes from Johnson and eight strokes from Lee.

Hatton is known for his hot temper on the PGA Tour and European Tour. Two weeks before the Palmetto Championship, Hatton got married but the wedding day did not go well.

Hatton was born in 1991, owns six European Cups and a championship in the US golf arena. He is ranked 11th in the world professional golf rankings (OWGR).
