According to the award rules, only the top 15 receive the bonus and do not include amateurs, the champion gets 30% of the fund, the runner-up gets 15%, the third gets 10%, the fourth 8%, the fifth 6.4%. Organizers said golfers will receive the bonus by bank transfer within a week after the tournament.
Chi Quan became professional in early October, after finishing college in the US. The title in Da Lat last weekend was his second victory at VPG Tour, after the trophy at +3 point at FLC Ha Long on November 6.
In September 2019, Chi Quan finished T2 (score +1) and won the title “Excellent amateur Golfer” at the professional event Lexus Challenge at Laguna Golf Lang Co with a bonus fund of 1.5 billion VND. At that time, the par71 field, about 6,900 yards long, with a green speed fluctuating at 10-10.5.
Chi Quan has been the National Amateur Champion four times, is the core of the golf team in Vietnam at the 2014 Asian Games and the recent SEA Games.
