Ko Jin Young cherished his intention to buy a house in the US before the final round of the CME Group Tour Championship with a prize fund of 3.5 million USD in Naples, Florida.

Do not want to win the final match of LPGA Tour 2020 event at Tiburon, par72, as it will bring 1.1 million USD to implement the settlement plan in Frisco city, Texas. I do not think it is the best and most comfortable place to live because there are many close colleagues, including fellow countryman Hur Mi Jung.

Share on Golf Digest On December 21, Ko said that she went online to find her home the night before the closing day and even thought about it during the finish line.

Entering the fourth round, Ko scored -12, one stick less than Kim Sei Young – a fellow countryman and the defending champion. But through 18 holes, Ko scored seven birdies and one bogey and then went up to the podium at -18, while Kim returned to T2 at -13.

“My bank account has no money left because I transferred all of it to Korea. So I need money to buy a house in the US. Now I can be satisfied,” said Ko, smiling and saying after receiving the award.

Ko was born in 1995, entered the LPGA Tour since early 2018 and won the “Excellent Rookie” award at the end of the year. In 2019, Ko broke through, won two majors in four championships, reached the top 10 with eight times and reached the top of the world rankings on July 29. A month later, Ko hit 114 consecutive non-bogey holes in the first round of Cambia Portland Classic. This milestone is the longest in LPGA Tour history, and also breaks the record 110 holes, set by Tiger Woods at the PGA Tour in 2000.

At the end of last season, Ko won the “Excellent Golfer” award, the Vare Trophy for golfer ranked first in the average number of clubs across 18 holes. Over the past three years, Ko won seven titles, earning a total prize of $ 5.6 million.

Particularly this year, she sublimated at the end of the season. At the beginning of the year, Ko returned to Korea to heal his ankle, then stuck Covid-19 until November 19 before returning to the US to play LPGA Tour. Therefore, Ko competed only for four competitions but reached the top 5 three times, including fifth at VOA Classic, T2 major US Women’s Open and won the grand final. And thanks to high performance in a short time, she finished the 2020 campaign at the top of the bonus table with $ 1,667,925.
