This is the second year in a row, FLC Vietnam Masters finished the first leg with two domestic golfers holding the top. Out of the first 18 holes this year, the top 10 leaderboard has two young amateur golfers, with Gia Thong at the top and Nguyen Anh Minh ninth. The whole round recorded eight players with negative scores, of which three eagle players were Jung, Hong Giang, and Truong Chi Quan.
Chi Quan stood T5, two sticks behind the top of the table. Golfer was born in 1998, just finished college in the US, went professional in early October, then won two domestic events in a new position. At the Lexus Challenge with the 1.5 billion VND bonus fund of VPGA Tour professional in September 2019 at Laguna Golf Lang Co, Chi Quan finished T2 (score +1) and won the title “Excellent amateur golfer”.
