AmericaJapanese Golfer Hinako Shibuno rose to monopolize the top of the table at -7 after 36 major US Open holes on December 11.

Shibuno won the major Women’s Open 2019 at the age of 21 when he first won an award overseas. Thanks to this victory, the 1998 birthday golfer was given a special place in the main round of the US Women’s Open 2020 – an event at the Champions Golf Club in Houston. The tournament took place on Cypress Creek and Jackrabbit, both par71.

On the opening day of December 10, Shibuno hit 68 strokes at Cypress Creek, scoring four birdies and one bogey. In the second round yesterday 11/12, she hit 67 sticks in Jackrabbit, with six birdies and two bogey. Both normal excesses occurred in the par3 pit.

But after two rounds, Shibuno was making his way to the finish line with a three-stroke advantage. After the player nicknamed “Cinderella or Laughing” were 12 players with a difference of five strokes. Linn Grant came second at -4, while T3 (-3) including Megan Khang, Amy Olson – golfer took the top spot in the first round, and Kaitlyn Papp. The Jutanugarn sisters – Ariya and Moriya are in group T6 (-2).

Cut line type at point +3. The weekend roster, on Cypress Creek alone, features 60 professional and six amateurs. Ko Jin Young’s world number one is at T29, on the two-stick cut line. The group left the tournament after 36 holes with the world’s third Nelly Korda, former champions – Brittany Lang, Ji Eun-Hee, Chun In Gee, Sung Hyun Park and major owners – Morgan Pressel, Lexi Thompson, Angela Stanford, Georgia Hall.

“I competed major in the US but did not feel pressure, different from the Women’s Open. Maybe because last time I started at zero,” said Shibuno when attending the 75th US Women’s Open.

After major England, Shibuno did not receive his LPGA Tour membership card, because he thought he was too young, did not have enough experience and needed more practice in the domestic women’s arena. That title made her famous in the country of Phu Tang – where women’s golf is more attractive than men in terms of television attraction. “From ordinary people, I became famous overnight. In Japan, I even wear a mask, but people still recognize,” said Shibuno.

Grant and Papp are both amateurs. Grant is from Sweden, a sophomore and a University of Arizona golfer, and Papp is the golf captain at the University of Texas and just graduated last week. Grant tried the US Women’s Open 2018 at Shoal Creek, but only finished T57 and the championship and $ 900,000 went to Ariya Jutanugarn at -11. Golfer Thai born in 1995 owns two major in 10 LPGA Tour titles and holds the number one world number one 30 weeks.
