Runner V-Race donated nearly 750 million to the vaccine fund quỹ

On July 18, the “Run for Vaccine” virtual race called for support for the Vaccine Fund organized by VnExpress closed the registration portal. After 45 days, the tournament recorded 6,200 athletes and 279 participating clubs/groups. This is one of the most exciting tournaments on the platform for V-Race sports lovers. With a participation fee of 100,000 VND and additional support depending on their ability, runners and businesses have contributed an amount of nearly 750 million VND. All of this money will be transferred directly to the receiving representative of the Vietnam Vaccine Fund for the purchase of Covid-19 vaccine for people.

The 100 km distance is the most chosen because of its moderate level of challenge, those who do not often run can still successfully accumulate this distance within 21 days. “Run for Vaccine” also recorded a high number of female runners, accounting for 39%.

Runner Nguyen Quang Luan, leader of the Viet Hoa Nong group shared: “Run for Vaccine is a race that not only trains the body and improves sportsmanship during the epidemic period, but more importantly, joins hands to contribute to the cause. vaccine fund, repel Covid-19”.

Anh Luan and 92 other members of Viet Hoa Nong are the leading team in the race to date with a record of 211,614 km. On average, each member of the group ran nearly 230 km, in 21 days.

In particular, for each completed kilometer, Viet Hoa Nong also donated 10,000 VND more. The group donated 120 million VND to the fund before the tournament started. Luan said, the rest will be added in the near future.
