Vietnam’s number one player Le Quang Liem took the black piece to meet Magnus Carlsen in the third game, the online super tournament Aimchess US on the evening of August 28, Hanoi time.

In the first three days from August 28, 16 players competed in a quick round-robin game, selecting eight high-scoring players to advance to the quarterfinals. Each game has a duration of 15 minutes for each player, adding 10 seconds after each move. Matches are separated by an hour.
Aimchess US has a bonus fund of 100,000 USD, which is the last leg of the Champions Chess Tour system. In the penultimate stage called Chessable Masters, Quang Liem unexpectedly finished second when he lost to Wesley So in the final. Compared to Chessable Masters, Aimchess US gathers more powerful players.
