Quang Liem is a chess coach at Webster School

On April 9, Webster school website announced that Susan Polgar and her husband and assistant coach Paul Truong had retired. They will move from Missouri to Florida to stay close to their families, for health reasons. Polgar and Truong started coaching Webster in 2012. They helped Webster win eight of the last nine American inter-university chess tournaments.

Webster announced that Quang Liem would replace Polgar’s position from June 1. Quang Liem attended Webster School and was the school chess captain. He helped the team win four inter-school championships. Quang Liem graduated in 2017, with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Management. Quang Liem is ranked 35th in the world according to chess Elo.
