The Tokyo 2021 organizers use beds that can be recycled, but are fragile if subjected to strong impacts if athletes have strong relationships.
In the houses in the Olympic athletes village, the organizers arrange the beds that will be recycled after the end of the Games, to be environmentally friendly. According to the Diario AS, these beds can only withstand human gravity in the normal state. If the athlete works too hard, the bed may break.

These beds are considered a solution to prevent vigorous activity and limit the risk of spreading nCoV. There will be about 18,000 such beds, to serve 18,000 athletes and officials.
In June 2021, the organizers confirmed that they would provide 160,000 condoms to athletes, but did not encourage them to have sex during the Games. They said it was a souvenir for the athletes to take home. Distributing condoms to athletes is considered an Olympic tradition, but the complicated developments of Covid-19 forced the organizers to tighten relations between athletes.
July 2016, the magazine Frontiers in Physiology published the results of a study that showed that sex did not significantly affect the performance of athletes. And the research of Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness 2000 also showed that sex affects athletes within two hours.
The Tokyo Olympics will welcome more than 11,000 athletes competing in 33 sports. The opening ceremony took place on July 23. The Vietnamese sports delegation, consisting of 43 members, including 18 athletes, will fly to Tokyo on the evening of July 18.
