Hanoi Midnight night track attractive pacer

On the eve of VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2020, pacer duty athletes have just had an official night-road experience of 21 and 42 km distance. The session took place under cold weather suitable for long-distance jogging, with the support of a watering team, track security, photography, and powerful medical.

Participating in the event, athletes use the official pacer’s outfit, which is a yellow tank top. Each person comes with outstanding white thermal gloves. This item will be included in the race-kit of all athletes attending VM Hanoi Midnight night 28/11.

At 0:00, the athlete departs from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the position will be the Start line of the Hanoi night run on November 28. This area is wide open roadway, accommodating up to thousands for both runners and cheering spectators.

Starting from Hoan Kiem Lake, athletes in turn ran through the City Opera House, Le Thanh Tong Street, Phan Chu Trinh, Ngo Thi Nham, Hue Street, Nguyen Du, Nguyen Dinh Chieu.

The 21km road embraces Thong Nhat Park and extends a section across Thanh Nien Street, around Truc Bach Lake.

Pacer was selected from a team of highly experienced and high-achieving athletes. Accompanying pacer are dozens of security volunteers mobilized to guide the way. Each person wears reflective clothing and light sticks that make it easy for athletes to identify.

Streets in the center of Hanoi are small and short, so at the night event of November 28 to 29, the organizers will arrange 400 volunteers with 500 light sticks to show directions. Every turn has at least one track security with full signposts and a notification tool for the athlete.

In addition to the starting area, reaching the finish line, on the running track, the organizers of VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight have arranged 10 large-capacity lights for operational photographers.

To help athletes save memorable beautiful moments, the Organizing Committee will announce on the Fanpage the points of the lights and the position of the photographer.

In the photo, the pacer team runs through the Hanoi flagpole area. The pacer team night of test route is also a test event of the photographers serving the run. From there, the photographers will choose the most beautiful corners that highlight the beauty of the runner, while honoring the beauty of the night of Hanoi as well as outstanding works of the capital.

Coming to the famous streets of the central area, athletes received enthusiastic cheers from people and tourists. Ms. Ngo Thuy Duyen, 2 hours 20 minutes pacer, 21km distance shares the feeling of running at night in Hanoi that is both close and new. “Everyday I go there busy and noisy. The night comes again quiet and quiet. I love Hanoi at night on autumn days like this”, Thuy Duyen said.

On race day, along the 21km track, an average of 2km will have a water station. At the end of the run, there will be a rest area, support snacks, warm water for runner to recover and keep warm after the competition.

After more than 2 hours, the team of athletes completed a distance of 21km. With a carefully calculated path, the test session plays an important role for the Organizing Committee to evaluate, learn from experience and complete the final preparation stages, ready to welcome thousands of runners on November 28.

Safety is one of the highest priorities at this year’s run. VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight will arrange 8 medical stations. In which, four main stations have ambulances, doctors and nurses on duty. The four auxiliary stations have nurses and volunteers.

VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight will take place on the night of November 28 to the morning of November 29. The event was jointly organized by VnExpress and Hanoi People’s Committee and Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank).
