With 65 sticks, the Jazz Janewattananond Thai golfer, on March 5, raised the ceiling of 18 holes at the PGA Tour event with a prize fund of 9.3 million USD at Hill Airport, Par72 in Florida.

Yesterday, Janewattananond hit the second round, starting from hole 10. The first half of the round, he did not bogey, scored five birdies. The remaining nine holes, players born in 1995 only one bogey and three more birdies. Thanks to that, he jumped 76 steps, to T11 with -4 after 36 holes. The whole round, Janewattananond averaged 310 yards, hit nine in the 14 fairways and went green according to the standard 14 holes.

Closing the 65-stroke round, the Thai golfer achieved an excellent 18-hole record from the start of the tournament while the second round summed up only 11 players hitting less than 70 strokes. The previous peak was at 66 strokes, set by Corey Conners and Rory McIlroy on opening day. The opening match, Janewattananond 75 strokes. This golfer has 10 years of professional golf, won six Asian Tour championships, finished T14 in the major PGA Championship 2019 but has not won either the PGA or the European Tour.

After 36 holes of Bay Hill, Janewattananond is five strokes less than the Conners at the top of the table (score -9). Before that 18 holes, Conners and McIlroy won T1 (score -6). The next stage, he hit 69 strokes, including the 16th hole eagle, similar to the opening day. Conners was born in 1992, a new title in the three-year PGA Tour tournament.

Meanwhile, McIlroy was fine in the first half of Bay Hill, but the latter two bogeys and a streak of five par made him peg 71 strokes, down T3 (score -7). “This round seemed to be at least 74 strokes, but in the end still got a negative score so I was quite satisfied”, commented McIlroy himself.

Standing T3 with McIlroy also has Viktor Hovland and Lanton Griffin. Martin Laird was a step above them, at -8. Laird won against Arnold Palmer Invitational 2011. “PGA Tour teleconverter – Bryson DeChambeau is alone at sixth (score -6).

Korean Golfer Im Sung-jae is the only Asian representative in the top 10. He is standing T7 (-5), next to two former world number one – Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose.

Cut line type at point +2. Thus, the tournament has 73 golfer match weekend. Among the 50 who left the tournament were five major champions, including Patrick Reed, Henrik Stenson and Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, Graeme McDowell and Charl Schwartzel.
